Discovering the Magic of Morocco

Updated: Oct 30

As a travel enthusiast and interior designer, I am always seeking new sources of inspiration to bring to my projects. I just returned from an incredible trip to Morocco, where I was immersed in the country's vibrant culture and beautiful architecture. From the ancient medinas of Fez and Marrakech to the modern metropolis of Casablanca, Morocco was a feast for the eyes and soul, with its intricate tilework, playful patterns, and warm hospitality of the locals.

The souks of Marrakech were a designer's dream, with their vibrant colors and textures. But beyond the beautiful designs, what struck me the most was the strong sense of community and tradition that is deeply ingrained in Moroccan culture. The passion for creating something unique and meaningful was palpable in the timeless craftsmanship of the artisans and reverence for tradition.

One of the aspects of Moroccan design that I found most inspiring was the use of intricate details and textures, such as the hand-carved wooden screens and metalwork that adorned many of the buildings and interiors. Bold colors and patterns are another hallmark of Moroccan design, from the vibrant blues and greens of the tiles to the colorful textiles and rugs. At TDG, we believe that color and pattern can play a powerful role in creating dynamic and engaging spaces. By incorporating pops of color and bold patterns into our designs, we can create visually stimulating and inviting spaces.

Overall, Moroccan design gave me a wealth of inspiration and ideas for creating unique and memorable spaces. By incorporating elements of this rich cultural heritage into our modern designs, we can create spaces that are both timeless and contemporary and that truly reflect the vision and personality of our clients.
