This week, I stood outside the new HASC Center on Avenue M in Brooklyn with our team, surrounded by staff and community members. As the ribbon was cut, I was reminded how much a thoughtfully designed space can change someone's every day. The spaces we spend our days in shape how we feel and how we grow. For the people HASC supports, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, that matters even more. A room that is calm, bright, and easy to understa

Some events are about bringing people together. Others remind us why coming together matters in the first place. I’m honored to serve on the board of Shalva, and last week, we had the opportunity to bring our friends together for Hold’Em for Hope, a special evening supporting Shalva’s incredible mission. The Designers Group was proud to be a sponsor of this event, supporting an organization whose work is especially close to my heart. What I love about Shalva is the way it cre

Every so often, you find yourself in a room that reminds you why you do what you do. The GlobeSt. Women of Influence Conference was one of those rooms. Spending a couple days with women from across the commercial real estate industry was both inspiring and motivating. There was a real sense of collaboration, with conversations about leadership and the future of our industry. Hearing different experiences and perspectives reminded me that while our paths may be different, many

At The Designers Group, we have always believed design should make an impact. That idea shapes the spaces we create, the way we think, and the way we contribute to our industry. Over the past few years, we have been exploring how artificial intelligence can support the interior design process. As we began integrating AI tools into more of our workflow at TDG, I kept coming back to how much potential these technologies have to help designers work in smarter and more intentiona

This Women’s History Month, I have been thinking about the women who have shaped my life, my perspective, and my career. Some women influence us through major moments, and others leave their mark in quieter ways. Often, people do not even realize the impact they have had. That is something I have been thinking about a lot lately, how sometimes our impact comes through our actions and the way we make others feel, without even knowing what it may leave behind. What feels especia

I recently sat down with Josette Mandela on The Empowered Money Girl for an episode called Design Your Financial Freedom: On Building a Multi-Location Firm . The conversation stayed with me. It made me think about money, leadership, and what it really takes to build something that lasts. A big part of how I lead comes from how I grew up around money. In my home, it was simple. If we didn’t have it, we didn’t have it. There was no pretending and no stretching for appearances.

Some milestones make you stop for a second and really take it in. Expanding The Designers Group to Los Angeles was one of those moments for me. When I started TDG in Toronto, I didn’t have a big plan or a roadmap. I just knew I loved design, the process, the creativity, and I wanted to do work that mattered. Over time, that simple vision became something much bigger. It became about people, purpose, and creating spaces that change how others live and feel. Now, standing in LA
